Wanna Work Here? You Might Hate It.

Here’s why:
1. We’re going to try to learn as much about you as we can before we hire you. We won’t get all up in stuff that’s none of our business, but we need to know if you are a good fit for us. It could take a while.
2. You’ll have to be able to work anywhere. We don’t have an office - or even a cubicle - for you. We are going virtual and serving our customers from our homes or wherever we want.
3. We will judge you based on the results you produce. You can’t get away with looking busy for eight hours a day. We are here to serve our customers.
4. We don’t have annual performance reviews. If you do a good job in June, we’ll know it in June. If you goof up in August, we aren’t going to wait until December to talk about how to improve.
5. We love technology. We hope you do too. And we hope you already know how to do things like use the blind copy feature in your email and create a hyperlink. If you have no idea what any of that means, you might hate working here.
6. We change. A lot. If you want to settle in and then coast, you’ll hate it here. We change because we aren’t perfect. As we learn better ways of doing things, we implement new processes, technology, and ideas.
7. If you think we are talking about the ten day forecast when we mention the cloud, you might hate working here.
8. We don’t take all clients, and sometimes we fire the ones that aren’t right for us. If that makes you nervous, you might hate working here.
9. If you love paper and office supplies, you might hate it here. We are paperless. We don’t deliver paper to our clients, and we don’t accept paper from them either.
